Built on History. Designed for Community.
Long before the music and the celebrations, this site was home to the Stone Brickyard, established in 1887.
At the Windmill Winery, we believe every property has a story worth telling. Many people know our grounds as a beautiful destination for weddings, events, and wine. What many do not know is that long before the music and celebrations, this site was home to the Stone Brickyard, established in 1887.
The brickyard played an important role in Florence's early development, producing bricks used to construct homes, businesses, churches, and public buildings that helped shape our community. During its busiest years, tens of thousands of bricks were being fired in kilns right here on the property.
One brick at a time.
As we looked toward the future of our tasting room and event experiences, we felt it was important to honor that history. That is why we are proud to introduce The Brickyard at the Windmill Winery. The name pays tribute to the hardworking families, craftsmen, and visionaries who helped build Florence, quite literally, one brick at a time.
We invite you to join us as we celebrate the past while continuing to create unforgettable experiences for future generations. We look forward to welcoming you to The Brickyard.
